A competition design for the renovation and expansion of Hotel Strasser, with a panoramic rooftop wellness area and a thoughtful integration of traditional and modern Alpine elements.
This competition project for the renovation and expansion of Hotel Strasser focuses on reimagining the layout by relocating the wellness and pool area to the rooftop. Taking advantage of the sloped site, the design places the dining area on the lower level, allowing for three full floors of guest rooms above.
The highlight of the proposal is the indoor-outdoor pool located on the third floor, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountain panorama. The façade combines wood and glass for a harmonious integration into the natural landscape, while traditional Tyrolean balcony patterns introduce a subtle regional identity to the modern structure.
