The Kraler Showroom blends refined style with bold, masculine touches and unique statement pieces. Inside, dark wood, stone, leather, and anthracite finishes create a powerful, tailored atmosphere. Outside, soft brutalist concrete curves embrace the golden-walled courtyard, framing the space with architectural drama.
Located next to the original Franz Kraler flagship store, the interior design translates the brand’s fashion-forward identity into spatial form. Entry is through a niche set below the eastern access road, leading into the showroom via a glass wall that doubles as a backlit wine display. From here, visitors enter the main space, which opens fully to the courtyard through massive sliding glass panels. Despite functional separations, the project prioritizes spatial and visual continuity throughout.
The sunken living area—comprising lounge, kitchen, and dining—can be transformed into a private bedroom using foldable doors that reveal the master bed. The “Weinwand” also conceals a cozy local-style lounge, a sleeping area, and a service zone, where reflective partition walls make the utility block visually disappear.
A filtered space between two double doors separates the living area from the main bedroom suite, study, and laundry. A walk-in closet leads to the master bathroom, where a circular skylight aligns with a jacuzzi below, flooding the space with zenithal light. The bathroom also features a steam room, a large shower with massage jets, double basins, and a separate enclosed WC.
The integration of a massive monolithic kitchen island into the existing structure posed a major design challenge, as did crafting a dining table from a single oak trunk—both of which were executed with precision by skilled artisans and specialists.
