The transformation of Hotel Gran Fanes in Corvara reflects a bold vision of renewal—merging Alpine tradition with modern comfort, and historical identity with contemporary expression. The renovation began with the complete redesign of the bar, restaurant, and wellness area, and will continue through spring with the renovation of the reception and guest rooms, and the addition of two new upper floors.
The restaurant and bar are now divided into several intimate dining spaces, defined by 400-year-old reclaimed wood that gives warmth, authenticity, and a strong connection to place. This richly textured materiality is paired with thoughtful lighting and a layered spatial sequence that enhances comfort while celebrating heritage.
The new wellness area offers a modern spa experience with hydromassage pool, steam bath, sauna, and treatment rooms. The design promotes relaxation through soft lighting, tactile surfaces, and spatial transitions that guide guests into a slower rhythm.
The upcoming extension will elevate the hotel’s profile—literally and figuratively. Two new levels will introduce a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the Dolomites, an expanded wellness zone with an outdoor pool, and a striking “floating” glass cube housing the restaurant on the third floor. Echoing the idea of a vertical forest, the façade and balconies are designed with lush plantings, blending architecture and landscape.
Hotel Gran Fanes becomes not just a place of stay, but a spatial narrative—where nature, heritage, and design meet. It is a hotel that evolves with clarity and vision, offering guests an experience that feels rooted, refined, and forward-looking.
